Lucky Cowboy

About this round

Lucky Cowboy Writers Round was founded by Sean MacDonald and Mason Levi, who combined their backgrounds in music and marketing to create a welcoming space for Nashville's songwriting community. Their goal was to make a writers' round that's just as enjoyable for performers as it is for the audience. Originally launched at the 1865 Club, Lucky Cowboy now calls John Daly's Midtown home. Each event features four songwriters per hour, giving audiences an opportunity to discover original music while connecting with local artists. Since launching, Lucky Cowboy has welcomed 175 artists from 10 different countries. The round has built a supportive community where songwriters regularly return to cheer on fellow artists, even when they aren't performing. Beyond live events, Lucky Cowboy offers merchandise and is developing a Spotify playlist featuring past performers.
